This year is shaping up to be an academic year like no other. Four states have mandated in-person instruction. All the others are allowing for, or mandating, some form of remote instruction. Remote learning is hard for everyone concerned. Educators struggle to simultaneously adapt their content and pedagogy for virtual instruction. Many students have to make a conscious effort to stay engaged. Remote access challenges further disrupt equity in k-12 education. School libraries, and their librarians can effectively transform remote learning for teachers and students.

This edWebinar features the best practices of school librarians who teach in a wide range of schools, grade levels and communities. The presenter discusses strategies and feature tools that have facilitated remote learning in their learning communities. In this “boots on the ground” dive into practice, successes and challenges will be shared alike. Lively interaction is the goal for this discussion where participants will be encouraged to share their ideas.

This recorded edWebinar will be of interest to grades 6-12 educators across subject areas.
