Have you ever watched children when they are doing a finger play? You can almost see the synapses firing in the brains. Finger plays are a natural way to engage children and develop oral language, auditory memory, small motor skills, social skills, and their imaginations. Best of all, they are FREE and FUN!

In this edWebinar with Dr. Jean Feldman, a.k.a. DR. OF FUNNESS, discover the fantastic world of finger plays as you learn:

  • How finger plays nurture academic goals and executive function
  • How to use finger plays during transitions
  • How to engage children’s brains and bodies
  • How to integrate finger plays with math and literacy standards
  • How to extend finger plays with simple materials

Visit Dr. Jean’s blog, Dr. Jean and Friends, to find words to the finger plays she will be demonstrating during the edWebinar, as well as photos of different projects. This recorded presentation will be of interest to teachers, librarians, and school leaders working with toddlers to the first-grade level, as well as special education teachers and speech-language pathologists.
