National and state standards, as well as a growing number of online assessments, require students to have digital literacy skills. Yet, as educators, we don’t always measure what students know (or don’t know) about those skills to inform our curriculum planning. Understanding the digital literacy skill level of your students at the beginning of the year is a critical first step to creating a plan that will effectively bridge gaps and ensure students are prepared for success.
In this edWebinar, Jeff Meyer, Director of Education for Learning.com, examines the need for standards-aligned assessment data to drive digital literacy programs in schools and districts. Participants learn about varied approaches to assessing digital literacy skills, best practices for gauging proficiency, and sample item types for measuring specific skills.
Elementary and middle school level school and district leaders will benefit from watching this recorded session.
