Sir Ken Robinson often speaks about why the world is in need of divergent thinkers, and he’s absolutely right. For students to confidently face the real-world problems they will inherit, they need skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, problem solving, creativity, communication, service orientation, and more. However, teachers are not always trained on how to help their students develop these crucial skills.

In this webinar, Armand explained how he connects his students’ passions to the curriculum while giving equal attention to developing these 21st-century skills. He does this by combining a growth mindset with design thinking, creating a new culture in the classroom that brings important student skills into the limelight. He also shared examples of school-wide projects that help students develop these skills, such as Harry Potter Week, when he and his colleagues transformed their school into Hogwarts and gained international recognition.

Learn how Armand:

  • Develops this unique culture in the classroom
  • Connects his students’ passions with the curriculum
  • Designs his semester to prepare students for 2020 and beyond

K–12 educators will benefit from Armand’s expertise on creating a classroom and school culture that develops important skills and recognizes student passions.
