About the Presenters
Amy Baldwin, Ed.D. is a Senior Lecturer of Literacy and Academic Success at the University of Central Arkansas and an Instructor for the Outlier by Savvas College Success course. She is also an author of a trade book on learning mindsets and several textbooks on the college experience including Pearson Education’s The Community College Experience, The First-Generation College Experience, The College Experience, and, most recently, OpenStax’s College Success.
Dr. Baldwin earned her Ed.D. in higher education administration at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where her research focused on the academic success of Black males at the community college. Her research, writing, and professional development workshops focus on first-year student success and first-generation college student support. In 2020, she received an Outstanding First-Year Student Advocate Award from the National Resource Center for the First-Year Experience and Students in Transition.
Dr. Ainsley Rudolfo is a Licensed Master Social Worker and accomplished executive director specializing in educational leadership, youth development, and mental health program design, development, implementation, and management. He is currently the Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives for Brooklyn North High Schools. Dr. Rudolfo developed and executed implementation of the only districtwide Black history curriculum in NYC public schools. He also oversaw the district initiative Re-imagining Schools with an emphasis on the role of technology to drive student engagement and student-centered learning.
Dr. Rudolfo received his Doctor of Education in education leadership and administration and policy from Fordham University and his master’s degree in social work from New York University. In addition to his program leadership, he is on the Overcoming Obstacles Advisory Board, Catholic Charities Junior Board, and New York State Board of Regents – Boys of Color Blue-Ribbon Workgroup.
