edWeb.net Wins 3 SIIA CODiE Awards including Best Overall Education Solution

2018 CODiE Award winner with categories listededWeb.net is excited to announce that it was named a 2018 SIIA CODiE Award winner for Best Collaborative Social Media Solution for Educators and Best Professional Learning Solution for Faculty & Administrative Staff, and also won the top award of Best Overall Education Solution. The Best Overall Education Solution represents the product with the highest scores of both rounds of judging out of all finalists.

The SIIA CODiE Awards are the industry’s only peer-reviewed awards program and have been recognizing product excellence for over 30 years. Educators and administrators serve as judges and conduct the first-round review of all education nominees. Their scores determine the SIIA CODiE Award finalists, and SIIA members then vote on the finalist products. The scores from both rounds are tabulated to select the winners.

edWeb has won an SIIA CODiE Award in each of the past three years. The judges commented, “edWeb.net continues to do a great job of offering several communities on a multitude of topics for ongoing 24/7 professional development.”

This year marks edWeb.net’s 10th anniversary. The edWeb community has grown to over 550,000 teachers, administrators, and librarians. Over 1,100 educators have presented more than 1,500 edWebinars to share their ideas, resources and practices with their peers.

Lisa Schmucki, the founder and CEO of edWeb.net, commented, “It means so much that our free professional learning for educators – anytime, anywhere – has received such prestigious recognition. It’s so important for teachers, administrators, and librarians to get this kind of support by learning from each other and from innovative educators. Our sponsors, partners, presenters, and our members share this with us. We couldn’t provide this outstanding professional learning without their innovation, their passion, and their desire to share learning with each other to help improve learning.”

Winners were announced during the CODiE Award Celebration at the SIIA Annual Conference & CODiE Awards in San Francisco on June 13.
