So many school districts overlook the critical role that administration plays in the learning process. That’s not the case in Oregon’s Canby School District. In our community’s next webinar, Joe Morelock, Canby’s Director of Technology & Innovation, will share his vision for technology, teaching, and mobile learning.  He’ll discuss the 1:1 iPod touch mobility program that is currently for all Grade Three and Four students in the district, the multiple iPad 1:1 and flipped classroom projects, and what he did to ensure the programs support and empower Canby’s teachers and learners every step of the way.  You’ll hear about how this empowerment philosophy was applied to every facet of the program, including how their network was structured, how teachers manage devices, and how PD is delivered.

Highlights from the session:

In this webinar Joe Morelock discusses new and creative ways to use mobile devices for learning. Attendees learned about the digital divide, apps to use to enhance learning for students with special needs, and the new era of typing. To hear all the interesting things Joe has to share, and to find out what “The future arrives too soon and in the wrong order” means view the recording on edWeb.
