Social media presents a world of opportunity for students and educators to connect, share, and grow. But it also presents some pretty big challenges. To become responsible and fluent users of this technology, students need real-world opportunities to practice. In this edWebinar, Heather Callihan of Northwest Public Schools in Nebraska will show you how.

At Grand Island Northwest High School, Heather and her colleagues have built a team of student interns who put their social media skills to use by telling the school’s story and engaging the community. This program builds trust between teachers and students, models digital leadership, and provides cross-curricular learning opportunities. Watch Heather’s presentation to get the full story!

This edWebinar is geared toward grade 6–12 teachers in all subject areas.
