The featured TeachRock lessons facilitate the exploration of the cultural context of various music genres, including gospel, blues, salsa, and hip hop, and emphasize music as a vehicle for storytelling, resistance, and celebration within the African American community.

Viewers also receive a curated list of FREE resources available on TeachRock.org including lesson plans, student edition slide decks, and artist biographies to support educators in fostering a more inclusive and culturally responsive classroom environment through music during Black History Month and beyond.
