Award-winning author and educator, MaryAnn F. Kohl gave a lively and entertaining presentation about process art and young children. MaryAnn shared true stories of how art influenced the lives of some amazing adults and children. Learn helpful strategies for inspiring children to be creative and adventurous with art, both individually and in groups. MaryAnn coined the nationally-known term “process art” and taught the difference between process art and typical classroom crafts. Plenty of MaryAnn’s favorite process art ideas were shared.

Award-winning author and educator, MaryAnn F. Kohl, began Bright Ring Publishing, Inc. in 1985 with her first book, Scribble Art. Since then, she has penned 23 books about art and creativity for children of all ages, including ART with Anything. MaryAnn began her career as an early childhood educator and classroom teacher. She continues her passion for children’s creativity by offering workshops and keynotes around the country for childcare providers, librarians, and teachers. Her hands-on sessions of process art experiences have proven to be attendees’ favorite workshops. She plans to have a new book available in 2017: Great Composers for Kids. MaryAnn is also a literary agent in the specific genre of teacher resource books and activity books.
