Prior to COVID-19, mindfulness was trending in education as a means to support social and emotional learning in schools. With education shifting to respond to the situation created by the pandemic, we’ll take a look at how mindfulness fits into it now. This edWebinar is based on the unique experience of presenter James Butler, an educator of 18 years and current mindfulness specialist for the Austin Independent School District (PreK–12).

Viewers will learn strategies for incorporating mindfulness into a daily self-care routine, explore mindful inquiry in our efforts to make sure all of our students have equitable access to education, and engage with simple mindfulness practices that can be woven into synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities for students. If you’re interested in exploring how mindfulness fits into education right now or want to grow your own mindfulness in education understanding, you’ll find this edWebinar informative and engaging.

This recorded edWebinar will benefit preK–12 teachers, administrators, school support staff, counselors, librarians, and school and district leaders.
