Leadership is the essence of the role of all superintendents and education leaders in whatever capacity they serve. In today’s world—where change is happening at an ever-accelerating pace—core leaderships skills are more critical than ever for all professional educators.

In this edWebinar, presenters will focus on the following areas:

  • Leadership competencies
  • Diversity
  • Culture
  • Innovation
  • Leading digital transformations

Kathy Hurley will illustrate lessons learned from school leaders profiled in the book she co-edited with Priscilla Shumway, Real Women, Real Leaders. Ann McMullan will review five essential leadership skills that are defined in the book she co-authored with Michael Barrett, Life Lessons in Leadership: The Way of the Wallaby. Keith Krueger will share CoSN resources for leading digital transformations.

Resources for growing your own leadership skills will be reviewed as well as tools for working with all stakeholders in navigating the changes facing today’s school systems. Participants will be able to access and use the shared resources which will be posted in the edWeb community after the conclusion of the edWebinar. Superintendents, district and school leaders, and teacher-leaders in K-12 school systems will benefit from attending this session. There will be time to get your questions answered after the presentation.
