Errors are a natural and expected part of language learning, yet if learners’ errors are never corrected, they can become fossilized in their speech and writing. Language teachers face a number of dilemmas when it comes to addressing learner errors in the classroom. About the Presenter

Nikki Ashcraft, Ph.D. is an associate teaching professor in the online M.Ed. program in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at the University of Missouri, where she enjoys working with teachers in classrooms around the world. During her TESOL career, Dr. Ashcraft has taught English and trained teachers in the United States, Mexico, Chile, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Ashcraft is a past chair of the TESOL International Association’s Teacher Educator Interest Section (TEIS) and the author of Lesson Planning (TESOL Press, 2014).
