School districts budget thousands of dollars for teachers to attend state and national conferences, yet novices rarely get to go. Why? They are afraid to ask because they don’t know how to ask. Veteran middle school administrator Shannon Holden showed new teachers how to expand their teacher tool box by attending conferences.
