Creative experiences build global understanding. Art helps students develop cultural insights and see other people in new ways—what is universal and unique. This webinar offered powerful ways to use art to improve students’ understanding of the world. Cheri Sterman has worked with educators around the world, using creative experiences to build global understanding. These sessions start with making personal connections to global roots and inquiries to find personal connections and common interests. Art is a powerful strategy for visualizing the places, people and issues around the world—finding what is universal and unique. Cheri has presented this seminar to diverse groups including art educators, early childhood educators, classroom teachers and administrators. Participants gain teaching strategies and curriculum connections.
