Special: TFK Live from Antarctica!

                       VIEW THE WEBINAR

1-23-2014Over 1,500 attendees tuned in yesterday to view a special live broadcast from Antarctica presented by edWeb.net and Time For Kids. Science Writer David Bjerke and special guests Jean Pennycook, Penguin Researcher for the National Science Foundation, and Peter West, Outreach & Education Program Manager for the National Science Foundation, gave an exclusive look inside life in Antarctica. They shared their experience working for the National Science Foundation in an icy climate, as well as an overview of the wildlife that inhabits the continent.  Educators and their classrooms were given the unique opportunity to ask questions of the presenters and have them answered in real time during the live broadcast.  The session also featured an introductory pop quiz where attendees tested their knowledge of Antarctica.  This webinar is presented by David Bjerke, Time For Kids Science Writer, Suzanne Zimbler, Assistant Managing Editor, TIME For Kids and Jaime Joyce, Assistant Managing Editor, Education, TIME For Kids.
