Record-breaking community on Early Childhood Learning

edWeb.net’s new Early Childhood Learning community reaches record-breaking number of educators with initial webinar hosted by Frog Street Press

girl-160173_640edWeb.net announced today that its newest professional learning community, Early Childhood Learning Solutions, has broken all previous edWeb.net records. In less than 24 hours, over 1,700 educators joined the professional learning community, and the community has already grown to 4,700 members, setting the record for the fastest growing professional learning community ever founded on edWeb.

The community, hosted by Frog Street Press, launched with an introductory webinar, Dr. Jean’s Strategies for Back to School Success, that drew over 1,860 live attendees, another record for edWeb. Dr. Jean Feldman’s career in education spans over 40 years as a teacher, author and consultant and even though she is a frequent keynote speaker to live audiences, this was her very first webinar.

Research has shown that access to high quality early childhood education will provide children with a strong foundation to shape key academic, social, and cognitive skills that determine a child’s success in school and in life. Charles Pierson, President of Frog Street Press, states “The numbers of early learning educators who registered for the webinar and joined the community proves to us that teachers of our youngest learners are dedicated to improving their teaching and learning, and are looking for an opportunity to gather and share ideas, resources and best practices with peers and experts in the industry.”

Lisa Schmucki commented, “We are thrilled with the record-breaking launch of Frog Street’s community on edWeb! Last year we were very fortunate to have Jenifer Morack join our team to help edWeb expand into the early learning market. Jenifer has deep experience as an early childhood educator and we were hopeful that educators working with the youngest children and students would be as enthusiastic about online professional learning as the higher level educators we’ve worked with. We have been stunned by the success of the programs Jenifer has started – Early Childhood Learning Solutions, PreK-3 Digital Learning Solutions, and Arts & Music in Early Learning – and the sponsors who are leading these efforts; Frog Street Press, AWE Learning, and Music Together. We also thank our partner MCH Strategic Data, who recently expanded in the early childhood market with the acquisition of Mike Wilson Lists.”

All of edWeb’s early learning programs provide free webinars, presented by experts, industry leaders and educators, that will help early childhood teachers enhance their lessons and classrooms to improve their work with young learners. Educators receive a CE Certificate for attending the live webinars or viewing the recording. The community hosts online discussions that make it easy for educators to stay connected over time with fellow educators to share ideas, practices, examples, lesson plans, and resources. The communities provide a growing resource center with webinar archives, CE quizzes, and support materials that can be accessed at anytime, anywhere.
