edWeb.net Wins CODiE for Best Professional Learning Solution for Faculty and Administrative Staff

edWeb.net has won the 2017 CODiE Award for “Best Professional Learning Solution for Faculty and Administrative Staff.” The SIIA CODiE Awards is the only peer-reviewed program to showcase education technology’s finest products and services. Here is a list of all the 2017 CODiE winners.

An SIIA CODiE Award is a prestigious honor as each award submission was reviewed by judges who are educators and whose evaluations determined the finalists. SIIA members then reviewed the finalists and their votes were combined with the scores from the expert judges to select this year’s CODiE Award winners. Lisa Schmucki, the founder of edWeb, commented, “Our professional learning is all about collaboration, so this award is the result of a team effort on the part of edWeb, our sponsors and partners, our edWebinar presenters, and the educators who so generously share their time and knowledge to participate in professional learning and support their peers all around the world.”

The winner announcement was made by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, during the annual Education Impact Symposium in San Francisco. There were 35 awards given for products and services specifically for education and learning professionals. “SIIA’s 2017 Education Technology CODiE Award winners were an amazing group this year, and demonstrated how these technologies are making an impact for students, faculty and administration,” said Bridget Foster, senior vice president and managing director of the Education Technology Industry Network (ETIN) of SIIA. “Each honoree deserves accolades and we are pleased to add our congratulations to all of this year’s CODiE Award winners.”

edWeb has won a CODiE three years in a row. In 2015 and 2016 edWeb won the award for “Best Collaborative Social Media Solution for Educators.” That category was dropped this year.
