FINAL_GH_Logotype2014edWeb.net and Gryphon House have partnered to present Early Learning Book Chats, a free professional learning community (PLC) that helps educators and caregivers find the tools that they need to bring the joy of learning to young children.

The Early Learning Book Chats community hosts online book chats with award-winning early childhood authors and experts, including Renate Zangl, PhD, and author Abigail Flesch Connors, MEd. Monthly webinars and online discussions provide a wealth of ideas and resources. This blended model of real-time and online connectivity makes it easy and fun for educators to stay connected over time to share ideas, practices, examples, lesson plans, and resources. The community is a growing resource that can be accessed any time, anywhere.

Gryphon House invites all early childhood educators to join a free monthly webinar or “napinar” – early learning PD while your young students sleep! The monthly “napinar” will be presented by award-winning early childhood authors and experts who will provide information, resources, and ideas to support educators as they positively stimulate language, cognitive, social, and emotional development of their young students. Educators receive a CE certificate for attending the live webinars or viewing the recording.

The first webinar, “Building Young Children’s Sounds, Words and Brains: Your Words and Interactions Matter,” was presented by Renate Zangl, PhD. Dr. Zangl is a child language researcherand author of Raising a Talker. Educators are invited to watch the recording here.

“We know educators are strapped for time and resources, which is why we brought the top experts in the early-learning field directly to them with these interactive experiences,” said Jennifer Lewis, General Manager at Gryphon House. “We know teachers love the authors’ best practices combined with the research and theories to back them up.”
